John A. Shelley has practiced law for the past 40 years in Southern California. Before that Mr. Shelley practiced law in Portland, Oregon. As an undergraduate he attended UCLA and University of Oregon, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Philosophy. He received his Doctor of Jurisprudence in 1979 from the University of Oregon School of Law.
John Shelley has the distinguished honor of being selected as the Editor-in-Chief of the Oregon Law Review for the 1978-1979 term, As Editor-in-Chief, Mr. Shelley had overall responsibility for the publication of the University of Oregon Law School’s flagship quarterly legal journal.
Mr. Shelley was selected for the prestigious position as a law clerk for the Oregon Supreme Court for the 1979-1980 term. The Oregon Supreme Court is the highest court of appeal in the state of Oregon. The job required high skill in legal analysis, legal research, and legal writing. This was an invaluable experience. A once in a lifetime opportunity.
